• Upgrade to facilities at Kilfeacle Community Tennis Club

Kilfeacle Community Tennis Club is delighted to announce that a series of upgrades to the club facilities will commence over the next few months based on funding from the Sports Capital Programme operated by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.

This round of upgrades to club facilities will see the installation of new Tiger Turf Advantage Pro court surfaces in the club, which will be supplied by Court Care Ireland in Cork. The club will also be installing ITF Class I (500 lux) LED lighting on all courts which will deliver the highest standard lighting for club members. This state-of-the-art new LED lighting will be supplied by Philips Lighting in Holland. The lighting design was completed by Signify in Dublin and installation will be completed by local business Tom Coughlan Electrical Services.

The committee of KCTC welcomes this funding from the Sports Capital Programme which will see the club facilities upgraded to the highest standard in terms of court surfaces and lighting. Thanks to Councillor Michael Fitzgerald of Tipperary County Council and Deputy Michael Lowry T.D. for their assistance with this project. Special thanks also to club member Robert Cummins of Cummins + Voortman Architects and to Tennis Ireland for their support in the Sports Capital Programmes grant application process. The committee looks forward to the completion of this latest project and to have these new facilities in operation for the summer of 2021 for our members and the wider tennis community to enjoy.
