• Willie O'Neill RIP

    Dear KCTC Members.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our good friend Willie O’Neill who passed away this Saturday. Father to club members Carolyn Fanning and Sinead O’Neill, Willie was nominated as the first honorary member of KCTC in 2017 in recognition of his contribution to the club.

Willie represented Kilfeacle in many tournaments, Veterans and Winter league competitions over the years. He was a fantastic role model for all in how to play the game and how to behave on a tennis court, win or lose.

While Willie was a great competitor, he gave as much to the social side of tennis and introduced so many of us to the sport he loved. He will be missed by all of us.

Our sympathies to his wife Wendy, children Carolyn, Nicholas, Sean, Sinead & William and all the O’Neill and extended family.

As a mark of respect to Willie, KCTC will be closed on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th March.

Reposing at Fogarty’s Funeral Home, Blind Street, Tipperary, this Monday (March. 28th) from 6.00pm to 7.30pm. Arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Kilfeacle, for requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11.30am, followed by private cremation. A book of condolences is also open at https://rip.ie/death-notice/willie-o-neill-bansha-tipperary/490694

KCTC will have a guard of honour on Tuesday morning from the club to Kilfeacle church and we would ask for members to bring Kilfeacle colours and rackets for this.

    May he rest in peace.
    KCTC Committee.
