    Improver Adult Tennis Lessons June 2021

    Kilfeacle Community Tennis Club is starting a new four-week session of group-based tennis lessons for adult improvers starting on Thursday 3rd June for 4 weeks at 8 - 9pm each Thursday. Classes are limited to KCTC members and are designed for players that are looking to improve from a beginners level. Classes can be signed up for on the payments page on the Kilfeacle Community Tennis Club website.

    Beginner Adult Tennis Lesson June 2021

    Kilfeacle Community Tennis Club is starting a new four-week session of group-based tennis lessons for adult beginners starting on Thursday 3rd June for 4 weeks at 7 - 8 pm each Thursday. Classes are limited to 8 participants and will be delivered by two coaches (Eamonn Morrissey and Jacinta Coman).     Get Involved in KCTC

    Get Involved in KCTC  KCTC is a non-profit, volunteer-based organisation that depends on its members to operate. All members are welcome and encouraged to assist in any way possible. There are two ways to get involved in the club. Sign up to the KCTC volunteer list here. This is a list of members that are willing to help from time to time. It is ideal for members wishing to get involved without the full commitment of being on a committee. The idea is simple, event organisers will get in touch with those on the list if extra hands are needed Join the committee: The club is operated by the main committee that coordinates the management and operations of the club with a number of other sub-committees that organise specific areas such as leagues, organise social events, or work on capital projects.     To enter in the KCTC 2021 Summer ladders, KCTC Members should complete the form at https://bit.ly/2AJTgSX Once completed, you will receive a free login to your accounts on tennisrungs.com. This will allow you to challenge other players and find out their contact details so that you can arrange matches. The TennisRungs system also allows you to report the scores of matches which determines ladder rankings. If you have registered for one or more ladders and do not receive an email with the tennisrungs login details, please check your spam/bulk mail folder.     World Tennis Number Club Round Robin

    Tennis Ireland is running a World Tennis Number (WTN) club round robin which can be entered by KCTC members for free. This is a Casual and Fun Singles play event that will start on May 24th and runs until June 6th. Online entry will be open from the 11th to the 18th of May.     Fundamental Movement & Fun Sessions for Kids

    If you are interested in signing your child up for one of the Fun & Movement Sessions on Tuesdays, please add your name to the list using the form at https://forms.gle/XXTR1KZQzy4eESTy9. Based on interest, groups will be facilitated where possible. Please note that children must be between the ages of 6 - 7 to participate in these sessions. If sufficient numbers are interested in partaking, you will be contacted by Saturday 8th May for a start date of Tuesday 11th May.

    May 2021 Junior Coaching

    Junior tennis coaching is starting back here in Kilfeacle Community Tennis Club for May 2021. This is a 6-week coaching block commencing on Tuesday 4th, Wednesday 5th, or Thursday 6th May. Coaching participants must be 2021-2022 members of KCTC. All sessions have either two or three coaches present to ensure sufficient instruction can be given to each participant.     COVID-19 Update effective from the 7th June 2021 (Updated 7th June)    Dear Club Members Following the receipt of guidance from Tennis Ireland, please find below a link to updated Return to Play Protocols for Tennis Clubs, Coaches and Players that will come into effect from June 7th, 2021 https://www.tennisireland.ie/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/COVID-Protocols-June-7th-2021-v1.3.pdf   The key changes to the protocols in this phase of reopening relevant to KCTC include the following: Outdoor Competition and Tournament play is allowed.  Such activity must take place under strict protocol and without spectators.     Robert Cummins Nominated to President of Munster Tennis

    Kilfeacle Community Tennis Club would like to congratulate club member Robert Cummins on his recent nomination to the role of President of Munster Tennis. Robert started his tennis journey here in Kilfeacle in the 1980s and has gone on to represent club, province and country. Over the last number of years, Robert has played a key role in the development of KCTC along with dozens of other tennis clubs nationally. His impact on and contribution to the wider tennis community from the grassroots level up is noteworthy. We wish Robert the best of luck in his new role over the next number of years.
